Confidence Scoring
Every signal is scored using a three-layer model: event-type baseline, source corroboration bonus, and trusted domain quality. Try the builder below to see how the math works.

Score breakdown
Base 85% = 85%
01
Event-type calibrated baselines.
Each event type has a pre-calibrated confidence baseline derived from historical accuracy. Regulatory events start at 0.85. Management events start lower at 0.68.
02
Multiple sources, higher confidence.
When multiple independent sources report the same event, confidence increases. Two sources confirming a story can boost scores by +0.10 to +0.15.
03
Source quality matters.
Tier 1 sources (Reuters, WSJ, SEC filings, major wire services) receive a domain-quality bonus. This penalizes low-quality or unknown sources.
