Privacy Policy
How News-to-Risk collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, and payment information when you subscribe. We also collect usage data automatically — pages visited, signals viewed, features used, session timestamps, and IP addresses used for rate limiting and fraud prevention. We do not collect or store raw financial account data.
Cookies & Session Data
We use a single authentication cookie named ntr_session, which contains a JWT token used to maintain your login session. This cookie has a 7-day expiry and is deleted when you log out. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use analytics cookies that follow you across other websites.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to: provide and authenticate your access to the platform, process subscription payments, send service-related communications (account confirmations, billing receipts, signal digest emails if subscribed), improve the accuracy and relevance of our signal pipeline, and enforce rate limits and prevent abuse. We do not use your data for advertising.
Third-Party Processors
We share data only with the processors necessary to run the service. Stripe processes all subscription payments — we do not store credit card numbers on our servers. Vercel hosts the frontend application and handles web traffic. Anthropic provides AI inference used in our signal analysis pipeline. Each processor is contractually bound to handle your data per their respective privacy commitments. We do not sell data to any third party.
Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, payment records which may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and accounting purposes). Signal pipeline data does not contain personal information and is retained indefinitely for accuracy analysis.
Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and associated data, and withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email rjoutreach1214@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and your request will be handled within 10 business days.
California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act including the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. News-to-Risk does not sell personal information to third parties. To make a request under the CCPA, contact rjoutreach1214@gmail.com.
Data Security
We use industry-standard protections including HTTPS encryption in transit, JWT-based session authentication with server-side validation, rate limiting per IP address, and isolated tenant data. We do not store payment card data. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we take commercially reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.
Age Restriction
News-to-Risk is intended for use by adults who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact rjoutreach1214@gmail.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page. For material changes, we will notify active subscribers via email. Continued use of the platform after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
